Upcycling

The textile industry is the third largest polluter in the world , after agriculture and transport, because each garment produced releases nearly 100 chemical substances during its life cycle.

When we know this, we mobilize to act each at our level.

“Upcycling” or how to make something new with something old therefore has its place in the workshop, especially with the clothes that can be found at the “Toutégratix” free zone in my little village Sermaise. Indeed, old tweed pants or skirts can become magnificent handbags! And on old bags, the handles and zippers can sometimes be reused.
